Experience crisp, clear vision and comfort all day long.

ACUVUE ADVANCE® for ASTIGMATISM is the only fortnightly lens developed for astigmats. Built with Accelerated Stabilisation Design (ASD) and the properties of ACUVUE ADVANCE®, it offers crisp vision and superior comfort all day long.

What is Astigmatism?

Astigmatism is caused by an irregularly-shaped cornea which results in blurred vision of near and distant objects. Spending long hours in front of a PC or TV screen3 also contributes to astigmatism. Uncorrected astigmatism is also often associated with eyestrains and headaches.

Do you have Astigmatism?

If you often misread similar looking numbers like 6 and 8, or experience blurred vision particularly in dim light situations, you probably have some form of Astigmatism.

Astigmatism is usually diagnosed by an Eye Care Professional. The following diagram is one of the tools an Eye Care Professional may use to detect astigmatism.

Astigmatism testing diagram

If some of the lines appear lighter than the others, you might have astigmatism.

Can Astigmatism be corrected?

Having Astigmatism is no longer a barrier to wearing contact lenses.

Using Accelerated Stabilisation Design, these lenses remain in place, no matter what your doing – working, driving at night, playing sports or watching TV. ASD is the only technology that harnesses the natural pressures of a blink to secure the lens in your eye. This innovation minimises lens movement when you lie down or tilt your head, offering you crisp, stable vision you can trust.

ACUVUE ADVANCE® for ASTIGMATISM is the only lens for astigmatism with the proprietary HYDRACLEAR™ technology that allows contact lenses to be comfortable as soon as you put them on and throughout your busy day.

HYDRACLEAR®

HYDRACLEAR™ is our brand name for our proprietary technology that brings together a remarkable moisture rich wetting agent with high performance base materials to form clear, wettable lenses resulting in a unique, silky, soft feel.

† WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-Blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-Blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders. Consult your eye care practitioner for more information.
